The Clinical Division is involved in many activities that support both providers and consumers of services:
The division is open to psychologists and students who are interested in all facets of clinical psychology including theory, research and practice. Members work in settings ranging from state psychiatric facilities to private, independent, or clinical practice. The division has several committees actively involved in various professional issues: insurance reimbursement for private practice, managed care, status and rights of psychologists in institutions, professional training and standards, and continuing education. You must be a NYSPA member to join.
Division Dues Division of Clinical Psychology Dues are $25 annually. Must be a current NYSPA member to join. Student members are exempt from Divisions dues and should contact the NYSPA office at nyspa@nyspa.org to join any Division.
Division Webinars Conversation About Practice in the Time of COVID and Thereafter Our guests: Patricia Pitta Ph.D., ABPP Dr. Pitta sent out a questionnaire in September about practice in the time of COVID. We had 218 members respond to the questionnaire. Join me and the attendees to explore what this means to your practice going forward. Will you be more inclined to see patients in person now that the CDC lifted mask requirements in doctor’s offices this past week? Let’s review the results of the polling and talk about our concerns and how to practice in the most effective manner for patients and therapists. We are psychologists supporting each other.
