Dr. Kassoff is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified School Psychologist with over 43 years experience delivering therapeutic services. Dr. Kassoff maintains an active clinical treatment practice delivering caring psychotherapy to Adults, Adolescents and Children. Treatment is generally based on the Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) model, a scientific empirically-based treatment method. The majority of the practice is devoting to working with individuals to address their emotional and behavioral needs.
Dr. Kassoff has also been performing data-based psychological, psychoeducational, and forensic examinations in matters of child custody, international child custody (Hague Convention cases on International parental child abduction), Personal Injury, Psychological impact of Civil Rights violations, Medical Malpractice, Post-Trauma (including PTSD), WTC, Article 81 Incapacitation (incompetency), CSE hearings and educational litigation, etc. He has been qualified as an expert in Supreme Court and Family Court in all counties in NYC, US District Court in NY and Southern District of Florida, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland counties and in front of Impartial Hearing Proceedings conducted by NYS Education Department. Dr. Kassoff maintains a clinical practice in Bellmore, LI. It is convenient to public transportation and office hours are by appointment only.
