| Whether you are new to grassroots advocacy, or are interested in strengthening your skills, this manual is for you. It includes tips and useful knowledge designed to help you ensure that policy makers in Albany, NY and in Washington, DC are responsive
to issues that affect the profession of psychology and the psychological needs of their constituents.  Every year there are ongoing battles with insurance regulations, access to care, competition among heath care professions, scope of practice
issues and specific bills introduced. All of these issues ultimately affect patients and quality of psychological care. Addressing these issues to gain successful outcomes requires strategy, patience and a plan.  Grassroots Committee Members: Dinelia Rosa, PhD (Chair) Andrea Allen, PhD Roy Aranda, JD, PsyD Thomas Barkley, PhD June Feder, PhD Barbara Meehan, PhD John Northman, PhD (NYSPA Legislative Committee Chair) Virginia Waters, PhD Michelle Woogen, PsyD |
