Many therapists have observed a rise in clients seeking therapy due to confusion surrounding their sexual identity and erotic interests. These clients may include self-identified straight men engaging in same-sex hookups, gays, lesbians and bisexual men and women in heterosexual marriages struggling to come out, and clients who have experienced sexual abuse and are unsure of their sexual orientation.

Many feel confused regarding the differences between their sexual attractions and their erotic interests.

To effectively support these individuals, therapists must be equipped to explore potential underlying causes of sexual identity confusion, which can stem from various factors such as past sexual abuse or fluid, heteroflexible, or bisexual identities.

Therapists must also be equipped in understanding the origins and meanings of erotic orientation.

This workshop offers the latest insights on discussing sexual identity and provides strategies for working with male clients and their partners in these situations.
