I have recently read about the potential effectiveness of CES devices such as the Alpha Stim for chronic pain, anxiety, and depression. Has there been any research on such devices performed in our state? If we have not as yet investigated the efficacy of the Alpha Stim or similar device for increasing alpha wave activity to reduce pain and anxiety, would it not be of value to explore this as an additional nonpharmacological intervention?
