You are invited to come for our Annual Networking and Afternoon Tea Reception. This is an opportunity for attendees to network with their fellow colleagues and share and promote their practices. It is an opportunity to let your fellow professionals know what you do. There will an opportunity for you to introduce yourself and say a few words about your practice. Please bring your business cards.

Invited Presentations: Meet an Author and a Publisher

Presenter: Patricia Pitta PhD, ABPP
Dr. Pitta believes if you can visualize a process, you can be successful at its execution. Dr. Pitta will describe how she wrote Solving Modern Family Dilemmas: An Assimilative Therapy Model, and she will offer the evolution of how her writing career began and how it morphed into a book. Further she will describe her therapy model and how she helps the practitioner learn to sharpen his/her skills as a Couple and Family Psychologist. There will be copies available for purchase.

Presenter: Marta Moldavi MS
Marta is an Acquisition Editor of Routledge Publishers, a leading academic and professional publishing company. She will discuss the writing process from proposal to finished book. She will identify the key elements of writing a proposal, discuss the peer review process, and explain what happens after a manuscript goes into production. Insights about marketing and what makes potential authors attractive to publishing companies will also be shared. This presentation will be focused on academic/professional publishing only.
