Statement from Assemblyman Phillip Steck, our Guest of Honor

I am very pleased to be working with the psychologists of our State on legislation that will enable us to use their expertise in heading off violence before it occurs.  We need to become a less violent society, and our psychologists have methodologies that can help us achieve that goal.  Also, we are hoping that this election will produce a legislature that will allow us to make the New York Health Act a reality, which will ensure that every individual in New York State has access to quality mental health care and thus a better quality of life. It has been my privilege to work with the psychologists of our state on mutual legislative goals, and I look forward to continuing that relationship in the next coming session.
