Jacques P. Barber, PhD, ABPP is Professor and Dean, Derner Institute of Advanced Studies in Psychology, Adelphi University.  He is emeritus professor of psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was until recently the associate director of the Center for Psychotherapy Research at Penn and a member of the Psychology Graduate Group. His research focuses on the outcome and process of psychodynamic and cognitive therapies for depression, panic disorder, PTSD, substance dependence and personality disorders.
